The tube tails on Ava jigs are very durable, but they are not completely indestructible. In certain situations the hook may still be viable, but the tail has deteriorated (especially if left in the sun and/or not rinsed after using). Sportfish products Replacement Tubing allows an angler to replace the tubing on a jig that uses a surgical tube tail. Available in lengths of 6 foot of tubing.
To install, cut to length with a razor or heavy duty scissors and slide over hook.
